FAQs

Can I sign up with Plero if I’m in a publishing deal?

Yes. We work exclusively with royalties generated from the sound recording (master) copyright. Our work is completely separate from what your publishing administrator does for you.

What if I’m already collecting SoundExchange and/or neighboring rights income?

If you don’t need any help with your SoundExchange or neighboring rights accounts, we can carve around them. We are not interested in siphoning off your existing royalty accounts.

Do you collect producer royalties from the labels?

Not currently. If you need help with your label royalties, we have partners that we can connect you with.

Can you collect royalties for mix engineers?

Not unless they are also producers, instrumentalists, or vocalists.

What does the name Plero mean?

Plero comes from a transliteration of a Koine Greek word πληρόω (plēróō) meaning “to complete.” The meaning is in line with our mission of making musicians whole.
